Saturdays at Melange rarely go as planned, and last weekend was no different.

What started as a regular day quickly turned into a full learning expedition. We kicked things off by hosting @pllumlegno at the studio, then headed to MG Road to explore and learn more about @coasttocoast.india .

From there, it was dinner at Uncle’s in Basant Lok, and of course, no Melange Saturday is complete without ending the night with a game of foosball at Monkey Bar.

Amaris Fine Jewels at Ambawatta Complex, Mehrauli,

Amaris Fine Jewels at Ambawatta Complex, Mehrauli, Delhi, is a 3,000 sq ft multi level jewellery store tucked within a newly developed building.

At its core, the design prioritises the jewellery. The displays become the focal point, set against a refined classical-modern backdrop. A monotone palette flows seamlessly from the façade into the interiors, creating a cohesive and understated spatial language that enhances the brilliance of each piece.

The bridal lounge at Amaris is conceived as an intimate pause within the store, where luxury is felt, not announced.

A language of confident minimalism runs throughout, allowing the space to recede into a backdrop of quiet storytelling, keeping the focus firmly on the jewellery. Thoughtfully zoned, the layout guides movement with clarity, while the bridal lounge offers a more personal, slowed-down experience.

Designed for longer engagements, it balances privacy with interaction, featuring a trial room and discussion zone, yet retaining the warmth and familiarity of a home library. A space that feels less like retail, and more like a moment.

We began with the intention of keeping it simple, yet quietly prominent. A space that doesn’t compete, but rather, elevates.

A monochrome dialogue unfolds between the architecture and the diamonds, where restraint becomes the strongest expression of luxury. The displays are designed to be inherently utilitarian, yet carry a sense of refinement, balancing precision with softness.

Subtle detailing across walls and floor-mounted elements creates a gentle rhythm, allowing the focus to shift seamlessly onto the products. Nothing feels excessive, yet every element is considered.

Light, material, and proportion work together to create a backdrop that enhances brilliance without overpowering it.

At Amaris, the design steps back, so the jewellery can take centre stage.
