Wattkraft Office

Wattkraft Or Watt-kraft Office as named by The Melange Studio in itself describes the main intent that our client & we wanted for this office – which is it should be modern yet current with the styles of the moment such that its simplicity & subtle sophistication with a tinge of quirky elements showcases space rather than things.

Sometimes it is thought that “modern” interiors are cold and minimalist but in this office, contemporary interiors are comfortable and welcoming without being cluttered and dark.

So initially when we started designing the space our main aim was to place all the spaces in such way that not only are they connected with each other but also get lots of natural light inside, which generally becomes very difficult specially in an industrial area like Okhla, which is bustling with sound from all around.

The entrance lobby of the office was designed in such a way that it directly leads to the staff and boss’s cabin which will be then interconnected by the conference room in the centre. With walls painted in a basic neutral throughout, we have concrete textured flooring running which perfectly add a hint of warmth into the spaces.

Talking about the Owner’s Cabin The interior palette is punched up and accented with blue color that plays against neutrals. The blue wall with panelling is actually a concealed door between the cabin and the conference room which makes the boss’s cabin not only extendable but also multifunctional. We wanted that the Furniture pieces should make a bold statement but at the same time be simple and uncluttered, without decoration. Smooth, clean, geometric shapes were essential for the vision we had. Use of a basic background and shout out with our favourite black, white & tan colour on furniture pieces overlooking the green balcony makes the corner picture perfect.

The same harmonious balance transforms into the interconnected conference room. The colour pallet of our interior scheme are nature inspired -white walls, grey flooring the pale blue fabric chairs paired with the live edge table which makes the space stand out.

The outdoor green deck on the other side of the entrance lobby is like a perfect outdoor party space for this kind of bachelor pad we can say, which will also act like a refuge to breathe out the daily stress of a daily office routine. One can plunge into the nature amist all the hustle and bustle of the life.

So I would say “less is more” which aptly sums up this beautifully curated office.
